"Zohar" means "fire" and "radience" in Hebrew. It is also the title of the book of Jewish mysticism used in the study of Kabbalah. Written in 13th century Spain, it outlines the 10 Sefirot, or eminations of the knowable qualities of the infinite and unknowable G-d.

"You shall not make a cut in your flesh for the dead, and a tattoo shall you not place upon yourselves - I am G-d."
(Vayikra - Leviticus, Parshat Kedoshim 19:28)
