"Hashem supports all the fallen ones, and straightens all the bent." (Psalm 145:14)

Samech, the fifteenth letter with a numerical value of 60, is the only regular letter in the Hebrew alphabet that contains an enclosed space within itself. The circle that is formed by samech is allegorical to G-d, Who has no beginning and no end. A wedding ring also conveys a similar message about the union between two souls.

The emphasis samech has on its “center” is like the Mishkan (Tabernacle) as the center of the Twelve Tribes of Israel on their journey through the desert, the Holy Temple as the center of religious life in Jerusalem, and as Jerusalem is now the center of Jewish identity throughout the entire world.
