"Our Father in Heaven, Rock and Redeemer of Israel, bless the State of Israel, the first manifestation of the approach of our redemption. Shield it with Your lovingkindness, envelop it in Your peace..." (Prayer for the State of Israel)

"Israel! Israel!" is a painting created to celebrate the reclaiming of the Promised Land by the Jewish people in 1948, and for the hope that the Bes HaMikdash, or "Holy Temple" will be rebuilt.

The stone texture is from the Western (Wailing) Wall, which is the last remenant of the Second Temple that was destroyed by the Romans. It is depicted as receeding in perspective towards the center of the piece, forming another star. The tips of the large shape are broken off, representing the "Diaspora," Jews who are spread all over the world that will return to Eretz Ysrael (the land of Israel) when the Moshiach arrives.
