"Ayin" is the 16th letter in the Hebrew alphabet, and is a silent letter, but carries profound meaning. Representing the "Eye of G-d" or the "Eye of the Soul," it reveals pure thought, concepts not clothed in words or letters. Also, the "Ayin Sof" is the unknowable G-d Whose true nature is beyond our written or visual understanding.
